Once the rack is put together, rest the sides of the rack on the sides of the bed.  If you own an XT model like the one pictured the sides of the rack should rest perfectly on the bed rails included on this model.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.00.06 PMThis is a closer view of what the rack looks like resting on the bed rails.

Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.00.27 PMInsert the ends of the rod hooks into the tie down loops and racks hooks.  Install the loop ends into the turnbuckle and twist clockwise until the rack is held securely to the sides of the bed.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.00.57 PMOnce secure, tighten the top lock nut to lock the turnbuckles in place.  If you have an XT model, make sure you ask for longer turnbuckles to compensate for the extra height of mounting the rack on the bed rails.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.00.11 PMRepeat step on all four corners.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 12.59.45 PMThe finished rack installation looks like this when complete.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.01.12 PMOne of the things that we like about this rack is it allows full access beneath the bed.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.01.22 PMYou can also use the dump bed with the rack installed, it will not interfere with the dump movement.  Just be sure to remove the contents of the basket before dumping the be completely.Screen Shot 2013-06-25 at 1.01.28 PMAfter a long day with our basket installed, it performed admirably even when we took on some rough terrain.  Remember that the basket walls are only a few inches high, so if you plan on rough rides, consider adding a cargo net to the basket to keep everything inside.  The basket fits like a glove and the powder-coat finish should keep it looking great for years.
